Iron Maiden

São Paulo, March 2 .- The British-rock group Iron Maiden attracted 40,000 fans in São Paulo, amazed a strong rain that threatened to spoil the show and promised to return in less than a year.

The show that the band of heavy metal offered on the evening of Sunday was the first of three planned by the group in Brazil. The tour continues in Curitiba on Tuesday in Porto Alegre in the fourth.

Given the thousands of São Paulo who arrived with several hours in advance to the site of the show, in the Parque Antarctica, stage of Palmeiras, the veteran British rockers played the major classics of the era of gold of his career.

On a stage decorated as an Egyptian temple and in front of panels of fund that showed images of other presentations, the five rockers interpreted his most famous songs, included in the tour "Somewhere in time."

The British reminded its first presentation in Brazil, at Rock in Rio in 1985 when they sang to 300,000 people.

Part of the Latin American tour of Iron Maiden, which began by Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia, will continue now by Argentina (March 9), Chile (9) and Puerto Rico (12).
